Mary Stoneback

Deacon Mary Stoneback serves on the Rocky Mountain Synod, ELCA staff as Synod Minister for Strategic Communication and Events. With over 15 years of experience in ministry and multimedia, Mary is excited to equip congregations in sharing God's Word and guiding them in telling their stories of God's love and grace in action. Mary graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy before earning her bachelor’s degree in Trumpet Performance and Music from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, and traveling professionally with her family throughout the United States and Europe. She went on to receive a Master of Arts in Children, Youth, and Family Ministries from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota. Additionally, Mary holds professional certifications in Spiritual Gerontology, Spiritual Direction, Multimedia & Graphic Design, and Video Production.

When Mary is not working with the synod in communications and events, she enjoys working on multimedia projects with her husband, Patrick, in business together, and walking her puppy, Gizmo.
