If your church website feels like it's sitting quietly on the internet while nobody finds it, the fix is often simpler than you'd think. This workshop is a ground-floor introduction to search engine optimization (SEO), built for people who've never had reason to think about it before.
We'll cover how people actually search for a church online, the on-page basics that matter most, and local SEO through your Google Business Profile. We'll also flag the mistakes we see most often on church sites and send you home with a short list of changes you can make that same afternoon.
No technical background required.

Every newsletter, social post, and website update starts with the same question: who are we actually talking to? For most of us, the honest answer is the people who are already in the pews. But what about the ones who aren't?
New research takes a closer look at Gen Z, Millennial, and Latinx audiences who may feel disconnected from institutional religion but are still open to spirituality. The findings challenge some familiar assumptions: a lack of church engagement doesn't necessarily mean a lack of spiritual appetite, and one of the biggest barriers may have less to do with belief than with whether people feel they can truly belong.
For those of us who tell the Church's story week in and week out, that's hopeful. Join Caffeinated Church's Mike Orr and Ashley Graham-Wilcox as we dig into what this research says about connection, trust, and spiritual seeking, and then turn to the work on our desks: the stories we choose to tell, the words we use, and how we can show up honestly for people who don't know us yet.
